Setting up the model

Under construction.

This page will discuss setting up a model for use with Renderman.

In Modeler, the ruler should be set to Feet or Decimal Feet.

In Presenter, the unit scale is converted from feet to inches.

For graphic design on the World Wide Web, there are some shading techniques that can have a big impact on image file sizes and reproduction.

If your image is destined to be a GIF file on the World Wide Web, you may find that image sizes are excessively large due to dithering. To avoid dithering, some surfaces can use the constant shader, and set the color to a choice from the standard Netscape Color Cube. This is also true for the background color.

For instance, if you are using a simple blue background as a sky color, try to use a shade of blue from the standard color cube.
