Welcome to the Mac 3D Team Website

The Mac 3D Team website is dedicated to supporting the use of 3D within the education community and anyone interested in finding the joy in creating 3D designs, animations, and effects for fun and for enhancing the look of a website. This site provides access to a 3D multimedia software solution that offers outstanding 3D modeling capabilities and a Digital SoundStage with intuitive camera, microphone and special animation effects, examples of work created by 3DJoy users, and tutorials to help in getting up to speed.

  • 3DJOY - To get an idea of the quality of 3D imagery that can be created with 3DJoy, Included is an in-depth overview of aerospace design created for NASA, examples of 3D works created for NBC, and examples of character and product design.

  • ABOUT US - To learn about the Mac 3D Team's mission of pursuing a grassroots effort to upgrade the use of 3D in education.

  • GALLERY - In the User Gallery, to view a comprehensive set of 3D works ranging from space exploration and the the reconstruction of the habitats of the Pueblo Indians to fine artists, product designers, and medical researchers taking advantage of 3DJoy's modeling and Digital SoundStage(tm) on which to build virtual worlds and simulate the real world complete with 3D directional sound. Featured are examples from Bob Sauls' presenting super reality in his space images and animations for NASA, Syd Mead, renowned "visual futurist" and scene designer for movies like Blade Runner, 2010, and Aliens, creating the virtual worlds of his imagination. Scott Petill taking advantage of the 3D freeform modeling and shading effects to present visual imagery in black and white, and fine artist Ron Davis combining color with geometric shapes to produce vibrant works of art.

    In the At Work Gallery, to view examples of 3D design for the visualization of the present and future of space exploration vehicles, the design of hotel complexes, interior layouts of malls, tradeshows, and offices, kitchen and bathroom furnishings, realistic character design for movie, game, scientific, and legal uses, for aircraft, graphic, logo, and industrial design, and for conceptual vehicle design, ranging from cars and motorcycles to specialty vehicles like wheelchairs and Mars explorers.
