Bob Sauls-Space Visualization

Bob Sauls, lead designer at John Frassanito & Associates, is well respected by the professional 3D design community. His design and animation work on the exploration of space ranging from the space shuttle docking simulation to the simulation of manned exploration of space has received great exposure on the national TV news, Nightline, and the Discovery Channel. His reach has extended to the film and special effects industry where he recently completed a special space animation project for DreamWorks.

Bob's talents and abilities are demonstrated by the quality and complexity of the designs and animations he's produced. These extend from such complex designs as a drill bit used for drilling oil, to the space shuttle and space station, and even further to the visualization of Mars exloration vehicles and habitats. He will be providing tips and techniques on 3D modeling, rendering, animation, and video production. We'll also have a chance to get a glimpse of the results of his work for NASA, Dreamworks, and industrial clients.

Ron Davis-Fine Artist

Ron Davis is a fine artist known for his geometric perspective paintings using polyester resins and fiberglass. His works hang in permanent exhibit in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Tate Gallery in London, Art Institute of Chicago, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.

Ron excels at the use of form and color. He uses 3D both to test his design ideas and to creat computer works of art which have been exhibited in numerous exhibits and galleries. He is the earliest known user of VIDI's 3D software, dating back to the Dimensions era, back in 1987. Ron has suffered through our product ups and downs and his advice and product suggestions have been invaluable in helping VIDI improve its software offering.
