Fire uses a Quick Time map as an RGB map and Transparency Map. The Black parts of the map will be made transparent while the white will be opaque, everything which is a color will be treated as it's grayscale equivalent and will be semi-transparent. The Fire map was made with a series of Photoshop images composited with After Effects. |
